Lok Sabha Election Phase-4: 362 stainlessness in the fourth phase, 476 millionaires; the richest candidate’s property of 5705 crore
: In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, total 1717 candidates are in the field. Of these, election affidavits of 1710 candidates have been analysed by ADR. Among them, 476 candidates are millionaires. At the same time, criminal cases are registered on 360 candidates contesting in the first phase.

There is election in the country at this time. Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. Voting has been done for the first and second phase. At the same time the process of nomination of the third and fourth phase has been completed. Meanwhile, the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has analysed the affidavit of candidates contesting in the fourth phase. A total of 1717 candidates are in the field at this stage. Of these, 1710 Affidavits of the candidates have been analysed. Due to the oaths not clear of seven candidates, their affidavit could not be analyzed.
Criminal background of candidates
Out of 1710, 360 (21%) candidates have declared criminal cases on their own. Out of 1710, 274 (16%) candidates have declared serious criminal cases on their own. 17 candidates have declared flawed cases on their own. 11 candidates have declared cases related to murder (IPC-302) while 30 candidates have declared cases related to murder attempts (IPC-307). Candidates who have declared cases related to torture above women are 50. Five out of these 50 candidates have registered a case related to rape (IPC-376). In addition, there are a total of 44 candidates who have declared cases related to inflammatory speech.

In the fourth phase, there are criminal cases against all three of AIMIM candidates. At the same time, two out of three of Shiv Sena, 10 out of 17 BRS, 35 out of 61 Congress, 40 out of 70 BJP, nine out of 17 TDP, two out of four of the Rajad, two out of four of Rajad, two out of four of Shiv Sena (UBT), 12 out of 25 YSR Congress, three out of eight of TMC and seven out of 19 SP cases are registered against criminal cases.

Of 1710, 28% i.e. 476 candidates are millionaires. The highest BJP has 65 candidates millionaires. In election affidavit these expectants have declared assets of more than one crore. In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, every candidate has assets worth Rs 11.72 crore on average. Consider the broker figures, the highest asset of 70 candidates of BJP is 101.77 crore assets.

Candidates who declared the highest property in the fourth phase are Chandra Shekhar Pemassani. TDP Pratyashi from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh has declared a total assets of 5760 crore. BJP’s Konda Vishweshwar Reddy in second place in this case. Reddy, contesting from the Chevalla seat of Telangana, has stated the wealth of 4568 crore in his affidavit. The third richest candidate is the Prabhakar Reddy Wemereddy of TDP. Prabhakar’s property contesting from Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore seat is 716 crore.
In the same time, 24 candidates have declared their property zero. At the same time, three candidates have told their property Rs 7, 83 rupees and Rs 90 respectively.
38% of candidates have been studied between 5th and 12th
Talking about the educational qualification of all the candidates, 644 (38 per cent) candidates have been studying between 5th and 12th. 944 (55 percent) candidates have mentioned their educational qualification graduate and more. 66 candidates are Diploma holders. 30 candidates are literate while 26 candidates are also illiterate.
If see the age figures of the candidates, 642 (38 percent) are in the range of candidates between 25 and 40 years. 842 (49 percent) expectants are between 41 and 60 years of age. 226 (13%) candidates have aged 61 to 80 years. If see women’s representation in the election, in the first phase, 170 i.e. only 10 percent are female candidates.
